The Los Angeles Lakers ended their regular season on a high note. The Lakers defeated the New Orleans Pelicans 110-98 in New Orleans and LeBron James looked to be in “Playoff LeBron” mode.
LBJ was getting buckeye, dishing out assists, and even hitting the glass; James scored 25 points and dished out 6 assists. He was rolling until he tweaked his ankle on Nickeil Alexander-Walker’s foot. James is expected to be perfectly fine and addressed the media about it.
“I’ll be fine. “I’ll be in the lineup on Wednesday,” James said.
James was also asked about how he feels about the Lakers’ seeding and he had an interesting response.
“I don’t look at our seeding. It doesn’t matter,” James said, noting that he and Davis both missed significant time with injures this season. “Obviously we know we wanted to play a lot better this season, but injuries took a toll on our team. We’re finally starting to get whole, starting to feel a little bit better about our situation.”
Other Laker players stepped up to help the Lakers get the victory over the Pelicans.
- Anthony Davis scored 14 points and grabbed 5 rebounds on the night.
- Andre Drummond scored 13 points and grabbed 13 rebounds.
- Dennis Schroder scored 12 points, grabbed 3 rebounds and 4 assists.
