Update: Tatum has been ruled out, per NBA writer Keith Smith. Tatum’s next opportunity to play will be Sunday vs. the Cavs.
Jayson Tatum continues to take part in individual workouts for the Celtics, Jay King of The Athletic reports.
Tatum has been sidelined after contracting COVID-19, missing the franchise’s last three games (Boston had an additional three games postponed during that span).
Coach Brad Stevens didn’t have the answer to whether Tatum will play on Friday against the Sixers when asked by reporters earlier today. On Wednesday, Stevens indicated that the All-Star felt “great” in his return to workouts.
“He feels great. He’s out of the protocol but now he has to ramp back up the activity,” Stevens said of Tatum.
