The Los Angeles Lakers have signed center Damian Jones to a 10-day contract, the team announced.
Jones was released by the Phoenix Suns earlier this week.
Jones, 25, is 6-foot-11 and sign a partially guaranteed two-year deal with the Suns in the offseason. He appeared in just 14 games, averaging less than 7 minutes a night.
Jones has also spent time with the Golden State Warriors and Atlanta Hawks. He was the No. 30 overall pick in the 2016 draft.
By releasing Jones, the Suns have created a roster opening.
The Lakers (22-11) have lost four straight heading into Friday’s home game against the Portland Trail Blazers.
