The Ben Simmons sweepstakes continues, though Sacramento’s front office would like to see it end sooner than later with the All-Star ending up in Northern California.
The Kings appear to be have ramping up their offer for Simmons with a source telling Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer that the team may willing to take on Tobias Harris as part of the package. Sacramento is contemplating that in a deal that sends Tyrese Haliburton, Buddy Hield, Harrison Barnes, and two first-rounders to Philadelphia for Harris, Simmons and Matisse Thybulle.
A source said Sacramento has considered sending Buddy Hield, Tyrese Haliburton, Harrison Barnes and two first-round picks to the Sixers for Simmons, Tobias Harris and Matisse Thybulle.
Pompey indicates that the Sixers are not interested in that deal at this time, however. Thybulle hasn’t been brought up in conversations between the two sides (or at least reportedly convos) and it’s unclear if Philly has any interest in trading the defensive wing.
Stay tuned.
