The Sacramento Kings are expected to waive forwards Jabari Parker and Mfiondu Kabengele to clear roster spots for incoming players, according to James Ham of NBC Sports Bay Area.
The Kings sent forward Nemanja Bjelica to the Miami Heat on Thursday in exchange for small forward Mo Harkless and power forward Chris Silva. That deal followed a Wednesday trade in which Sacramento acquired guard Delon Wright from the Detroit Pistons for point guard Cory Joseph and a second-round pick.
Along with all that, the Kings landed rookie shooting guard Terence Davis from the Toronto Raptors for a second-round pick.
Parker was the second overall pick in the 2014 draft and is currently on an expiring contract worth $6.5 million. He has appeared in just three games with the Kings, largely as the result of a back injury and personal reasons. He was also forced to sit out recently as part of the league’s health and safety protocols.
Kabengele was acquired from the Los Angeles Clippers earlier this week, along with a future second-round pick and cash. In exchange, the Kings sent a protected second-rounder to the Clippers.
