The Miami Heat won a nail-biter against the Orlando Magic, 89-88 in Orlando. The Heat now improve to 15-13 overall and 6-8 on the road. Tyler Herro hit a 19-footer with 0.5 seconds on the game clock to lift the Miami Heat to victory. It was a great victory by the Heat after starting the game in a 14-0 hole. This game was a low-scoring, hard-fought affair that the Heat pulled out.
Tyler Herro led the way for the Miami Heat scoring 20 points, including the game-winner. Herro scored his 20 on 8-for-17 shooting. Herro knocked down 3-for-6 from the three-point line. Herro also grabbed three rebounds, dished out two assists, and recorded a steal. Herro spoke on the final play where he hit his game-winner during his postgame interview.
“Just getting the ball to the top and letting me work. That was the play.”
Heat Head Coach Erik Spoelstra had strong praise for Herro postgame as well.
“We were able to get him the ball. Get him a little bit of space and then he was able to take it to a spot and elevate. At that point in the last three minutes, we were running every action through him. He has the guts.”
