The Philadelphia 76ers earned their second win over the Chicago Bulls in four days. The Sixers defeated the Bulls 114-105. The Sixers now improve to 8-2 overall on the season and have won six games in a row. Doc Rivers is keeping things simple right now since the Sixers are currently playing very short-handed. He played only eight players once again last night. The Sixers got it done and are rocking and rolling. After earning his 1,000th career victory, Coach Rivers was reflective postgame.
“It’s not analytical right now. We just did it,” said Rivers, who used just a three-man bench as his team copes with injuries and illness that have kept several regulars off the court lately. The ball kept going to the right players in the last 2 ½ minutes.”
Joel Embiid led the way for the Sixers. He scored 30 points on 11 of 19 shooting from the field. He also knocked down four of five from the three-point stripe. Embiid also grabbed a game-high 15 rebounds and dished out three assists. Embiid spoke on the Sixers play as of late and the team’s mindset.
“The chemistry that we have is very different from the previous years,” Embiid said. “We’re complete. We’re on the same page. Everybody feels like they have something to prove.”
