JJ Redick has announced his retirement from the NBA, according to himself from his “Old Man and the Three” podcast.
“I know it’s time,” Redick said. “It’s time for me to be a dad…It’s time for me to get ready for the next phase of my life.”
The former Duke standout goes out with 12,028 career points (12.8 points per game career average) scored including 1,950 threes made on a 41.5 percent 3-point career average, as he had stints with the Magic, Bucks, Clippers, Sixers, Pelicans and Mavericks across a 15-year career.
