The Warriors are finalizing a training camp contract with veteran point guard Jeremy Lin, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Per Marc J. Spears of ESPN, the agreement is for Lin to join the Warriors’ G-League affiliate.
Lin, 32, most recently played for the Beijing Ducks of the Chinese Basketball Association. He won a championship as a member of the Toronto Raptors in 2019.
Per Charania, Lin will need a letter of clearance from the CBA before he can officially sign on with the Warriors.
Lin recently joined the G-League Ignite team for a few scrimmages near his home in Walnut Creek, Calif. Now it appears he’ll be back playing in the States again full-time soon.
If his contract is indeed a training camp “Exhibit 10” deal, it will pay Lin at least $50,000 should he remain with the G-League affiliate for at least 60 days.
Lin’s career actually began with the Warriors back in 2010. He has also spent time with the Knicks, Rockets, Lakers, Hornets, Nets, and Hawks.
