Former G League guard Jalen Adams is leaving French club Chalons-Reims to return to the Erie BayHawks, according to Emiliano Carchia of Sportando.
Adams, 23, is 6-foot-3 and went undrafted in 2019 after four years at UConn. He averaged 19.0 points and 4.0 rebounds as a rookie with the BayHawks last season.
Adams signed an Exhibit 10 deal with the New Orleans Pelicans following the 2019 draft but was waived before the season began. The BayHawks are the Pelicans’ affiliate in the G League.
He signed with Chalons-Reims in June.
The G League draft was held Monday, and the league intends to hold its 2020-21 season in Orlando in a “bubble” environment, just as the NBA did to conclude last season.
