Jahlil Okafor is signing a non-guaranteed contract with the Hawks, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Okafor was recently traded from the Pistons to the Nets in a deal that ultimately unloaded DeAndre Jordan‘s contract, but Okafor was released shortly after.
When given playing time, the third pick of the 2015 NBA Draft has proven that he can provide good interior scoring, but given that the modern NBA values shooting from their bigs, it’s been tough for Okafor to find his niche in the league.
