Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic is all but certain to take home the 2020-21 MVP Award. However, if LeBron James had a vote, he’d be using it on Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry.
“I mean, just look at what he’s done this year,” James said. “I don’t know anything else if you’re looking for an MVP. If Steph is not on Golden State’s team, what are we looking at?
“We get caught up in the records sometimes. We get caught up in the, OK, who has the best record, instead of just saying who had the best season that year. And Steph has had, in my opinion, the best season all year.”
Curry averaged a career-high 32.0 points this season, as he was able to guide the Warriors to the eighth spot in the Western Conference despite missing Klay Thompson for the second consecutive season.
LeBron’s comments may have people wondering – is this part of a master plan to get Curry to the Los Angeles Lakers next season, when he’s a free agent? Time will tell..
