The Sixers are well-traveled this week. They flew down to San Antonio and after their game-winning Ben Simmons tip-in, the club traveled to Chicago where they got a win that coach Doc Rivers wasn’t “happy” with. Now, the Sixers are back in Texas as the team plays the Rockets.

Sixers-Rockets Injuries
The Sixers are at full strength with the exception of Furkan Korkmaz. The Rockets are not.
Houston will be without Sterling Brown (knee), Eric Gordon (groin), Jae’Sean Tate (COVID protocols), and D.J. Wilson (COVID protocols). Christian Wood and Danuel House are each doubtful with ankle injuries. D.J. Augustin has his own ankle woe but he’s questionable and of course, John Wall isn’t playing because he was ruled out for the season.

Bets to Consider
- 76ers First Half -8.5 (-115)
If NBA games were only 24 minutes, who knows how many championships this team would win. The club has put it all together for halves at a time this season, blitzing opponents with their suffocating defense and while Rivers believes in his bench unit, the unit blown massive second-half leads on more than one occasion this season.
The well-traveled Sixers should crush the Rockets’ skeleton crew, though it’s hard to trust that they’ll floor it the entire way. Rivers will rest his starters if he has the opportunity, leaving Tyrese Maxey and the younger guys out on the floor against the Rockets’ best available guys. That brings risk and it’s much less risky to count on full Sixers team in the first half.
- Ben Simmons over 11.5 points (-130)
Simmons may not play the whole game but he has a tendency to score most of his points early. He’s scored at least 12 points in five of his last seven games, including the blowout win over the Thunder last week where he played just 22 minutes.
