The Cleveland Cavaliers could receive a “significant” return if they decided to trade power forward Larry Nance Jr., according to Kevin O’Connor of The Ringer.
Nance is valued energy player, native of nearby Akron and the son of Cavs legend Larry Nance. So there is no sense that the Cavs are looking to move him.
He is also expected to miss four-to-six weeks following surgery on a broken finger. In other words, his presumed return will be right around the March 25 trade deadline.
“If the Cavs chose to shop Nance, they could receive a significant return for him because of Nance’s ability to fit into a wide number of offensive roles and defend multiple positions,” O’Connor wrote.
More out of Cleveland
- The Cavs (10-15) and have lost four straight and eight of 10, and things could continue to spiral downward with four games remaining on their current swing through the West — all coming against playoff contenders. - Cavs radio duo Tim Alcorn and Jim Chones had a sit-down chat with Ohio State legend and Basketball Hall of Famer Jerry Lucas on the most recent edition of CavsHQ. It is definitely worth a listen and can be heard right here or in the player below.
- As we relayed Monday, Andre Drummond is garnering plenty of buzz ahead of the trade deadline, with the Toronto Raptors being the latest opposing team linked to the Cavs center. Read more about that at this link.
