Add the Miami Heat to the list of teams with an interest in a trade for Andre Drummond.
According to Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson of Heavy.com, the Heat and Cleveland Cavaliers have discussed a potential trade centered on Drummond.
In addition, a league source told FortyEightMinutes that the Heat should be considered a “definite darkhorse” in landing Drummond.
Along with the Heat, the Cavs have also talked Drummond trade with the Toronto Raptors, as reported earlier this week by Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Sources told FortyEightMinutes that the Boston Celtics also have a “strong” interest in Drummond, though it has not been determined if they have yet talked with the Cavs.
Drummond, 27, will not play as the Cavs look to either trade him or, as a last resort, buy out the remainder of his $28.7 million expiring contract.
He has also been linked to the New York Knicks, Portland Trail Blazers, Charlotte Hornets and the Los Angeles Clippers, among several others.
