The Cavaliers have exercised the fourth-year contract option on guard Collin Sexton, and the third-year options on point guard Darius Garland, shooting guard Kevin Porter Jr. and guard/forward Dylan Windler, general manager Koby Altman said Wednesday.
These moves were all considered a formality, as the Cavs are committed to their young nucleus.
Sexton is 6-foot-1 and started all 65 games for the Cavs last season, averaging a team-high 20.8 points. He has yet to miss a regular-season game and has joined LeBron James and Kyrie Irving as the only Cavs to average 20.0 points in a season before the age of 22.
Garland is also 6-1 and averaged 12.3 points and 3.9 assists in his 59 of a possible 65 appearances. He also started every game in which he played.
Porter is 6-4 and appeared in 50 games, averaging 10.0 points and 3.2 rebounds.
Windler is 6-6 and this is actually his rookie year, after he missed all of the 2019-20 season with a lower leg injury.
The Cavs open the season at home Wednesday vs. the Hornets. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. EST at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.
