The Cleveland Cavaliers have several talented young players on their roster, as the Cavs will eventually have to pay all of them north of $100 million over the life of a four or five-year contract, which could lead to one of their young players being dealt.
Some around the NBA think the guy that should be dealt is Collin Sexton, according to Terry Pluto of cleveland.com.
The thinking is that Jarrett Allen should be the one to receive the $100 million deal, as it’ll be tough to give both Allen and Sexton those lucrative contracts given the fact that Kevin Love‘s monster contract is still on the roster.
Sexton is a 24.3 point per game scorer, but in order for him to take that next step, he needs to improve his playmaking skills and show that he can put up those high-scoring numbers on a good team.
Allen, on the other hand, offers elite rim protection, rebounding and finishing abilities at the rim, as he has proven he can be a huge contributor on a winning team.
