Cleveland opted to sit Evan Mobley on Saturday vs. the Knicks and the No. 3 overall pick won’t play again during Summer League, Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com confirms.
The plan all along, according to Fedor, was for Mobley to play in just three games. As former FortyEightMinutes.com contributor Sam Amico notes, the Cavs did put out some mixed messages regarding Mobley, previously indicating that they wanted to get him as many reps as possible during his Summer League session.

Mobley showed some promise during his three games on the court and the big man said that he was getting some coaching from Darius Garland, Collin Sexton, and Jarrett Allen, who were all on the sidelines in Las Vegas (h/t Evan Dammarell of Fear The Sword).
The 1-3 Cavs only have a consolation game, which has yet to be announced, left on their Summer League schedule.
