Evan Mobley was voted the player most likely to have a breakout season in 2022-23 during NBA.com’s annual GM survey.
The Cavs big man received 21 percent of the votes followed by Cade Cunningham (17%), Anthony Edwards (17%), and Zion Williamson (14%). Nine other players received a vote, including Ben Simmons.
Mobley is at risk of missing the season opener, as he is recovering from an ankle injury. The 2021 No. 3 overall pick played in 69 games as a rookie and only Scottie Barnes notched a higher win share than Mobley’s 5.3.

The Cavaliers received 41% of the votes in regard to which team made the best overall moves this offseason, as John Schuhmann of NBA.com relays. Cleveland’s trade for Donovan Mitchell was also voted as the player acquisition who will make the biggest impact.
