More fans will be allowed at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse for Cavaliers home games, according to Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com.
The Cavs put in a request to the Ohio Department of Health to allow 1,944 fans in the arena, as Fedor relayed, and the request has been granted.
Cleveland is off to a 3-0 start entering Tuesday’s home game vs. the Knicks. The report did not indicate how soon the increase in fans will be instituted.
More out of Cleveland
- Center Andre Drummond cautioned about the Cavs’ unbeaten start, citing the fact the schedule is indeed 72 games this season. “It’s nothing we can get too excited about,” Drummond said. “We’ve got a long season ahead of us.”
- At the same time, Drummond talked about the Cavs status as early overachievers. “We are the underdog and guys in the NBA don’t think we’re going to be a very good team. I think thus far, these past couple of games, we’ve done a really good job of showing that we’re here to play hard each and every night, no matter who is on the court.”
- In case you missed it, Kevin Love is again out for an extended time. Also, our Chris Crouse rounded up all the NBA injuries here, including a few involving the Cavs other than Love.
