The hits just keep up coming for the Cavaliers in the early season, and not in a good way.
Now, Cavs guard Dante Exum will miss one to two months with a strained right calf, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Exum suffered the injury early in the first quarter of Monday’s road loss to the Magic. Exum had been filling in for injured rookie Isaac Okoro (foot/safety protocol) since the third game of the season.
The Cavs (4-3) were already without Okoro, Kevin Love (calf strain) and Darius Garland (shoulder strain). Okoro and Garland could possibly return Wednesday, though there have been no official updates. Both could be out longer — and Love is expected to be out for at least another week, perhaps longer.
Exum is 6-foot-5 and averaging 3.8 points and 2.8 rebounds on the season.
Along with aforementioned, the Cavs have been missing guards Matthew Dellavedova (concussion) and Kevin Porter Jr. (personal reasons).
Cavs GM Koby Altman could potentially sign a veteran free agent as the Cavs wait for some of the regulars on the roster to return. You can find an updated list here.
