The Lakers are on an absolute roll right now. They earned their seventh straight victory against the Memphis Grizzles, defeating the Grizzles 115-105.
The Lakers started the game down 22-2, though they proceeded to turn things around and outscore the Grizzles 113-83 after the extremely slow start. Los Angeles was led as usual by their two Superstars, Anthony Davis and LeBron James. The Lakers were glad to have AD back in the lineup after he missed the last few games with Achilles Tendonosis and the big man came back strong, dropping 35 points on 16 of 27 shooting from the field. Davis also grabbed 9 rebounds on the night.
Kyle Kuzma had a big night as well with 20 points. He scored his 20 on 8 of 14 shooting. Kuzma also grabbed a big 10 rebounds. Kuzma spoke to the media about the Lakers’ mindset and how they need to start avoiding slow starts.
“There’s a little frustration,” Kuzma said. “We should never be down 20 points at any point in time with the personnel that we have on our team. … But we’ve been through the fire, and we know how to walk people down. We’ve been having to walk people down a little too much lately.”
The Lakers were also led this game by LeBron James. People seem to take this man for granted. At 36 years old he is playing at an NBA MVP level. He continued on his tear dropping 28 points, grabbing 9 rebounds, and dishing out 8 assists against the Memphis Grizzles. James is locked in right now and so are the rest of the Lakers. Despite the slow starts and a lot of these games going into Overtime, the team is still getting in the win column. That’s what matters to the Lakers along with defending their 2020 NBA Title.
