The Miami Heat are officially back in the win column. They were able to rally from a 19-point deficit to defeat the Detroit Pistons 113-107. The Heat ended their three-game losing streak and they were happy about it.
“In some ways, it feels like two wins, just because we are persevering through a lot of different things without feeling sorry for ourselves or making excuses,” Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said. “I commend the way the guys have handled all of this.”
The Heat got themselves back in the win column with four of their key rotation players out of the lineup. Jimmy Butler and Avery Bradley were both out because of virus protocols due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. Tyler Herro who is the team’s starting Point Guard missed the game due to neck spasms. Meyers Leonard missed the game due to a shoulder injury. Despite the adversity, the Heat was able to get the victory. They are looking to right the ship and get back to a .500 record. They now have a 5-7 win/loss record so far through 12 games. This is a step in the right direction for Miami.
