The Bucks/Nets series is officially tied and up for grabs. The Mikwaukee Bucks defeated the Brooklyn Nets 107-96 in Milwaukee at the Fiserv Forum. Through 2 games in Brooklyn the Nets looked like they would run away with this series. However, the Bucks handled their business and protected their home-court. Now we are looking at a tied series heading back to Brooklyn.
Giannis Antetokounmpo led the way for the Bucks with 34 points on 14 of 26 shooting from the field. He also grabbed 12 rebounds and 3 assists. Being down 2-0 Giannis has taken it upon himself to put his team on his back in games 3 and 4 and tie this thing up.
“We’re very happy, but we’ve got to keep getting better, keep playing together and hopefully we can go into Brooklyn and take one,” Antetokounmpo said.
Coach Mike Budenholzer deserves credit for his adjustments he has made to get his Bucks back into this series. In games 1 and 2 Budenholzer was out-coached by Nets’ Head Coach Steve Nash. Budenholzers deserves credit for making the proper adjustments to get his team back in the series. Budenholzer reflected on his team’s win and their mindset moving forward.
“At this stage, it’s whatever it takes to win the game,” Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer said. “It certainly helps to get more guys contributing, making shots. P.J. Tucker was phenomenal on both ends of the court.”
Other Bucks players stepped up to help get the Bucks the victory.
- Khris Middleton scored 19 points, grabbed 4 rebounds, and dished out 8 assists.
- Jrue Holiday scored 14 points, grabbed 3 rebounds, and dished out 9 assists.
- P.J. Tucker scored 13 points and grabbed 7 rebounds.
- Bryn Forbes scored 10 points off of the bench.
Game 5 will be taking place in Brooklyn, New York at the Barclay’s Center. Game time is to be determined. The game will be airing nationally on TNT.
