LeBron James is likely to return for the Los Angeles Lakers’ Tuesday’s game against the New York Knicks, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. Woj adds that James has been pain-free after a few days off.
According to Dave McMenamin of ESPN, Lakers head coach Frank Vogel said James was a full participant in today’s practice but didn’t provide any insight into whether or not he’ll be made available on Tuesday night.
James has missed the past four games after experiencing swelling in his right ankle, as he initially experienced a high ankle sprain in March, which sidelined him for over a month.
The defending champs are currently in the seventh spot in the Western Conference, which would put them in the play-in tournament if the season were to end today. Our Sam Amico reported more on James’ injury and the implications of it earlier.
