The Los Angeles Lakers are back to their winning ways. They defeated the Portland Trail Blazers 102-93. This win snaps the Lakers’ four-game losing streak. They have been trying to find their way with Anthony Davis out for a month due to his lagging injury around his Achilles area. LeBron James led the way and stuffed the stat sheet. James scored 28 points, grabbed 11 rebounds, and dished out 7 assists. James also had 4 steals and 3 blocks on this impressive night.
The Lakers supporting cast stepped up in a big way against the Blazers. Dennis Schroder returned to the lineup after being out a week due to COVID precautions. LeBron spoke on how Schroder is so important to the Lakers and their success.
“His energy alone gives us a spark,” James said of Schroder. “His competitive nature gives us a spark. To have him back in our lineup just means so much to our team. It was big-time.”
Schroeder scored 22 points in 32 minutes of play. Montrezl Harrell scored 17 points off the bench. Harrell has been steady all season and the Lakers will need to keep him going if they hope to repeat this season as NBA Champions.
