The Los Angeles Lakers are on a roll. They steamrolled the Denver Nuggets at Staples Center, 114-93. The Lakers’ depth showed as they got solid contributions from their starters and even three of their bench guys. Led by LeBron James‘ triple-double the Lakers did WORK. Not just offensively, but defensively as well.
“We hang our hats on our defense,” James said. “We’re the No. 1 defensive team in the league, and we want to continue that.”
Defense flat out wins championships. The Lakers know that to get their offense rolling, it starts at the defensive end. The Nuggets can be an explosive team on the offensive end of the basketball. For the Lakers to be able to hold the Nuggets to 94 points is something they should be proud of. That’s also something they can continue to build on as the season continues.
