The Canton Charge have released their roster ahead of the G League bubble in Orlando next month.
“We are excited that Charge basketball is back and are looking to pick up right where we left off last March,” Charge general manager Brendon Yu said. “While this season will be different than any other, we look forward to going out there and competing down in Orlando with the full support of Charge Nation cheering us on from Canton.”
The Charge were 29-14 when the G League suspended, and eventually cancelled, last season. Notable returnees include forward Sir’Dominic Pointer, and guards Levi Randolph and Sheldon Mac. Also, shooting guard Charles Matthews will join the Charge after attending training camp with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Forward/center Norvel Pelle was originally listed on the Charge roster after signing an Exhibit 10 deal with the Cavs — but reportedly has agreed to a contract with the Brooklyn Nets.
The Charge are coached by Kent State product Nate Reinking.
