Free agent guard Norris Cole was removed from a EuroLeague game while playing for French club ASVEL after it was determined a member of the team had tested positive for the coronavirus.
Cole played just 40 seconds before being pulled in a game against Cholet.
It was not announced which player had received the positive test, only that said player was being removed from the game.
The EuroLeague season tipped off earlier this month and several players and coaches are known to have tested positive for the virus. The list includes former NBA center Greg Monroe and coach T.J. Parker, brother of retired point guard Tony Parker.
Cole played college basketball at Cleveland State and won two championships alongside LeBron James and the Miami Heat. He has also spent time with the New Orleans Pelicans and Oklahoma City Thunder.
Cole, 31, has been playing professionally overseas since 2017.
