The Wizards have nine players in the league’s COVID-19 protocol with six of those players actually testing positive for the virus, GM Tommy Sheppard told FortyEightMinutes and other reporters over the weekend. The team isn’t able to practice at the moment with so many players out, though they are hopeful that players can start back up early this week.
Russell Westbrook wouldn’t have practiced if the club indeed had it. He’s still nursing a quad injury and will be re-evaluated later this week. Washington’s contests vs. Cleveland (today and tomorrow) have been postponed.

- Caris LeVert won’t make his Indiana debut for quite some time after a mass was discovered on his kidney. There’s no timetable for his return, though Pacers team president Kevin Pritchard said it’s possible that he plays this season.
- The Pacers received additional assets after LeVert’s ailment was found. Indiana received $2.6 million in cash from the Nets as well as future second-round picks from the Cavs and Rockets, per Charania.
- Kemba Walker will make his season debut vs. the Knicks, per Shams Charania. Walker hasn’t been able to suit up yet this season because of a left knee injury and coach Brad Stevens indicated that the point guard won’t see more than 20 minutes in his debut.
