The Cavaliers have signed veteran point guard Yogi Ferrell to a 10-day contract, the team announced in a press release.
Ferrell, 27, is 6-foot-0 and expected to be available when the Cavs host the Grizzlies on Monday night.
The journeyman has bounced around the NBA, most recently spending time with the Kings (2018-20). He has also spent time with the Dallas Mavericks and Brooklyn Nets, as well as served a stint in the G League.
He averaged 4.4 points in 50 games with the Kings last season. His best year came with the Mavericks in 2016-17, when he averaged a career-high 11.3 points.
The Cavs (5-5) have been decimated with injuries in the early season. The list includes starting guards Collin Sexton and Darius Garland, as well as top backcourt reserves Kevin Porter Jr., Dante Exum and Matthew Dellavedova. Porter and Dellavedova have yet to appear in a game this season.
Sexton is listed as questionable for Monday’s game, everyone else remains out.
