Kyrie Irving missed his third-straight game as he continues to sit out for personal reasons. Irving missed Thursday night’s contest against the Sixers and didn’t make the trip to Memphis with the team on Friday.
Joe Harris, Caris LeVert, Kevin Durant, Jeff Green, and Jarrett Allen started Sunday’s game against the Thunder with Irving opting to be away from the team. Durant is making his return after being mandated to quarantine due to the league’s COVID-19 health and safety protocols.
There were reports that Irving’s hiatus from the team is related to the events in Washington earlier this week. Brooklyn’s next game comes Tuesday at home vs. the Nuggets.
