Rui Hachimura hasn’t played yet this season due to an eye issue and he was expected to miss three weeks of action. However, coach Scott Brooks said the former No. 9 overall pick will play on Thursday against the Bulls (via zoom call with reporters).
The Wizards are 0-4 and a dicey forward rotation has been among the team’s major issues.
Hachimura will play about 20 minutes in his debut, per Brooks, though his presence on the court will allow the team to stabilize its rotation.
More From Washington
- Chemistry isn’t a concern for the Wizards, as Bradley Beal explained today. “Nobody’s mad at their teammate or hates the next man,” Beal said. “It’s not that type of emotion or feeling. I feel like everybody’s pissed off, I feel like that’s a good thing.”
- Beal skipped his scheduled appearance with the media after Tuesday’s loss to the Bulls, leaving the media (including the writer you are currently reading) hanging in a zoom lobby. It was a very surprising development, as Beal has been one of the more media-friendly players on the Wizards over the past year-and-a-half.
