The Lakers brought in Dennis Schroder this offseason and the team likes what they see early on.
“Dennis is a dynamic player,” coach Frank Vogel said after the team’s first win of the season (via Brandon ‘Scoop B’ Robinson). “What he can do for our team better than anyone else is get in the paint.”
Los Angeles has already engaged in discussions with the point guard on a contract extension, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports. The former Hawk is in the final year of his contract and will be an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season unless the club can come to terms with him on an agreement.
