The Bulls have released center/forward Noah Vonleh after Vonleh tested positive for COVID-19, he confirmed to Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports.
“Unfortunately, I have tested positive for COVID, and so my time with the Bulls has come to an end,” Vonleh said in a statement to Yahoo Sports. “Thank you to the organization for everything. Though it was a short time, I appreciate the opportunity. I am thankfully feeling good, and I look forward to working my way to another NBA opportunity once I’m cleared to play again!”
Haynes reported that Vonleh is “feeling good overall.”
Vonleh is 6-foot-10 and was the ninth overall pick by the Hornets in 2014. He has also spent time with the Timberwolves, Trail Blazers, Knicks and Nuggets. He had a previous stint with the Bulls in 2018.
The Bulls currently have 15 players under guaranteed contract — the maximum allowed — on the roster.
