Cavaliers guard Collin Sexton will be held out of Saturday’s preseason opener with a minor ankle injury, a source told Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com.
Sexton is the Cavs’ returning leading scorer. He did not miss a regular-season game during his first two seasons.
The injury, suffered two days ago at practice, is not considered serious, Fedor added.
The Cavs are opening their four-game preseason against the Pacers at home. They also start the regular season at home, Dec. 23 vs. the Hornets.
Sexton averaged 20.8 points last season.
