The Los Angeles Lakers are currently on a roll. They started their current road trip with a win over the Washington Wizards in D.C. The Lakers defeated the Wizards 130-119 to earn their tenth win of the season. The Lakers now sit at 10-12 overall. They are inching ever so closely back at the .500 mark after starting the season very slowly.
Anthony Davis led the way for the Lakers in D.C. Davis scored 55 points on 22-for-30 shooting. Davis knocked down 2-for-3 from behind the three-point line. Davis also knocked down 9-for-9 from the free-throw line. He grabbed 17 rebounds and dished out an assist as well. Davis spoke postgame regarding the Laker’s turnaround as of late.
βOur team is locked in right now,” Davis said. βVery focused on both sides of the ball. Overall, weβre just trying to make up ground.β
LeBron James scored 29 points on 12-for-26 shooting from the field. James knocked down 2-for-7 from behind the three-point line. James grabbed eight rebounds and dished out six assists. James spoke postgame regarding the Lakers’ great play as of late.
βWe never tipped over the glass when things weren’t going well,β James said. βWe just continued to work. It continued to get better. Understood that we’re a new team being put together. New coaching staff, new system. We had to figure out some things. We haven’t done anything. We want to continue to work.β
