There are bound to be numerous players traded on draft night and one surprising name has popped up as a possibility: Dejounte Murray.
San Antonio is open to moving the point guard and Atlanta has had conversations with the franchise about a trade, according to Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report.
The Spurs are fielding offers for Murray and have told multiple interested teams it would take a “Jrue Holiday-like package” for San Antonio to part with the 25-year-old floor general, setting a rough benchmark of three first-round picks for any suitor to pry Murray free.
The proposed framework of the deal would send John Collins back to San Antonio. The Hawks have been looking for a dynamic backcourt teammate for Trae Young, dating back to 2020 (with Fischer sharing that Atlanta had interested in consummating a deal with the Pelicans before they traded Holiday to the Bucks).
