John Wall would reportedly be open to a return to the Wizards, as David Aldridge of The Athletic hears.
It appears that such a reunion could only happen if Wall is bought out by the Rockets at some point over the next year.
Wall has one season left on his contract: a player option for $47.4 million. He was rumored to be on the trade block leading up to this year’s deadline. However, the Rockets were unable to find a taker for his salary and the point guard is unlikely to play at all for the franchise this season.
Bradley Beal Talks Free Agency, More
Bradley Beal remains out following wrist surgery, though he took some time to speak with the media recently, including FortyEightMinutes.
Throughout the session, the shooting guard sounded like someone who plans on being in Washington for quite some time despite the fact that he’s a free agent this summer.
Beal was asked if it’s fair to say that he’s leaning toward re-signing with the Wizards. His reply: “That’s fair.”
Beal also touched on the trades Washington made at the deadline, expressing his excitement for the moves that brought in Kristaps Porzingis and Ish Smith.
