The Milwaukee Bucks faced the Phoenix Suns in Milwaukee in an NBA Finals rematch. The Bucks won 132-122 to improve to 40-25 overall on the season. Khris Middleton went on a complete tear for the Bucks. Middleton scored 44 points on 16-for-27 shooting from the field. Middleton also went 5-for-9 from the three-point line. Middleton also grabbed eight rebounds and dished out five assists. Middleton made big shot after big shot to lead the Bucks to the win. Middleton spoke on his team’s mindset and his coming into the contest during the postgame interviews.
“We’re just trying to lock in a little bit better,” Middleton said. “We’ve spoken on it multiple times in the past where we’ve had these lapses and what not. We’re trying to be dialed in, trying to be your best self for 48 minutes out there.”
Jrue Holiday had Middleton’s back and chipped in with 24 points on 7-for-13 shooting from the field. Holiday also shot 5-for-9 from the three-point line. He also grabbed two rebounds and dished out nine assists. Holiday scored 16 points in the 4th quarter as well. Holiday spoke on his excitement postgame in playing in a game like the win against the Suns.
“We love being in those type of games,” Holiday said. “They’re a really good team. We kind of know what it takes, especially in moments like that, what it takes to win games.”
