Paul Millsap and the Nets have agreed to part ways and the club will look to trade the veteran.
The power forward chose to sign with the Nets during the offseason over teams such as the Warriors and Bulls.
Millsap hasn’t been in the rotation regularly for Brooklyn over the past month and he aims to find a place where he would see more court time.
Let’s take a look at three teams that make sense for a Paul Millsap trade.
Los Angeles Clippers – The season for L.A. could go a variety of ways with both Kawhi Leonard and Paul George sidelined. If there’s a real shot of one or two of the stars coming back, the Clippers would be wise to take a look at Millsap to add depth to a frontcourt that’s underperformed this season.
Philadelphia 76ers – Adding a stretch four off the bench would give Doc Rivers’ squad more versatility and Millsap would be a nice fit next to Embiid during stretches as well. Getting the Nets to send the veteran to the Sixers? That’s a different story.
Utah Jazz – Millsap’s former team is rumored to be looking for a wing defender and should they give up Joe Ingles or other players in such a deal, they could be in the market for additional depth at the four.
