The Wizards are signing Delon Wright to a two-year deal worth $16 million and as The Athletic’s David Aldridge reports, both years are guaranteed.
Washington had the non-taxpayer’s mid-level exception, which comes in at slightly below $10.5 million, and the 30-year-old’s contract will use all but a sliver of that.
Including Wright, the Wizards have added four players this offseason who should make next year’s roster. Washington’s front office drafted Johnny Davis with the No. 10 overall pick in last week’s draft (No. 54 pick Yannick Nzosa is expected to play overseas) and they added Will Barton and Monte Morris via a trade with Denver earlier in the week.
