The Wizards have barely had an opportunity to practice lately, and the NBA as a whole has experienced a little bit of a bumpy ready in this age of COVID-19.
That’s a lot different than last season, when the league held its restart in a bubble on the Disney campus. The G League will actually do the same soon.
But right now, the Wizards and NBA are playing their games in home arenas all across the land — just as they would in a “normal” year. The lone difference, of course, being that some teams are indeed allowing some fans.
Could the NBA consider a bubble again? Right now, the answer appears to be no.
If the league did at some point, star guard Bradley Beal let it be known he would be more than open to it.
“I just want to hoop,” Beal told FortyEightMinutes and other reporters. “Hoopers hoop.”
Beal said he “wouldn’t totally be against” another bubble if it comes to that. After all, it would at least give the Wizards a chance to get back on the court on a regular basis.
As coach Scott Brooks indicated, he would be Allen Iverson‘s favorite coach. “We never practice,” Brooks said.
The Wizards (3-8) are scheduled to play Friday at Milwaukee.
