The Wizards are among several teams interested in Jerami Grant, as relayed by our own Chris Crouse.
With Washington hoping to compete for the playoffs and maximize the window they have with Bradley Beal, it makes a ton of sense for them to look into this possibility.
Grant is the defender that this team needs, as he can guard the opposing team’s best scorer out on the wings and can guard any player 1-5.
His scoring abilities would provide a tremendous boost as well, as he’s averaged over 20 points per game over the last two seasons.
Grant can also help out with the Wizards’ 3-point shooting, as he has averaged 37 percent shooting from behind the arc over the course of the last four seasons.
Grant is also a native of the area, as he went to DeMatha Catholic in Hyattsville, Maryland.
The Wizards would likely have to include a package with some variation of Deni Avdija, Rui Hachimura, Daniel Gafford and first-round picks to entice the Pistons.
With Beal in the fold, they need to prioritize moves that would help them win now. Grant would do just that.
