James Harden made his feelings known after the Rockets’ loss to the Lakers, telling reporters that he wasn’t sure that the situation “can be fixed.”
The Rockets continue to speak to teams interested in trading for the superstar and while Harden has expanded his list of preferred destinations, the Nets remain at the top of that list. Joe Vardon of The Athletic believes that if Houston trades Harden to Brooklyn, a package of Caris LeVert and Jarrett Allen simply won’t do; it’ll have to be Kyrie Irving.
More From The Western Conference
- The Mavericks are expected to have enough players available to play Wednesday’s matchup against the Hornets, Marc Stein of the New York Times reports. Kristaps Porzingis is expected to make his debut in that one.
- Wesley Matthews won’t play for the Lakers on Wednesday. The veteran is dealing with Achilles soreness and will miss his third-straight game.
- Warriors power forward Eric Paschall was not available for Tuesday’s game against the Pacers because of the league’s COVID-19 Health and Safety protocols, Anthony Slater of The Athletic. It’s not certain whether the former Villanova product returned a positive test or someone who he came in contact with did.
- Rookie James Wiseman hasn’t been closing games for the Warriors, something that bothers the big man. “It’s very difficult because I want to be out there, and I feel I can handle that,” Wiseman said (via Drew Schiller of Warriors Outsiders). “And I’m just waiting for coach to call my name.”
