Stephen Curry led the Golden State Warriors to a 147-109 blowout over the Oklahoma City Thunder, finishing with 42 points on 14-20 from the field (11-16 from behind-the-arc).
It was only the second quarter when the Warriors began to pull away and extend their lead to 21. The game would only get farther away from the Thunder as Curry surged in the third quarter, leading the Warriors to a 50-point quarter. This would end the night for Curry.
Thunder Takeaways
Darius Bazley seems to be back in rhythm, scoring 22 points on 10-18 shooting in just his second game back from his shoulder injury.
“Coming off of injury, he looks a little sharper, looks a little stronger,” said Coach Daigneault about Bazley.
The Thunder have now lost eight in a row, tying their eighth-longest losing streak. The Thunder haven’t lost eight games in a row since the 2008 inaugural season. They would go on to lose 14 straight games.
Although the loss doesn’t drop the Thunder in the rankings, it gives them more separation from the Sacramento Kings and the 12th seed. With the Wizards win, the Thunder own the fifth-best odds in the draft lottery.
Stat to note: Moses Brown tallied yet another double-double, tallying 18 points and 12 rebounds in 28 minutes of action.
