The Miami Heat traveled to San Antonio and defeated the Spurs by a score of 112-95.
The Heat got their starting point guard, Kyle Lowry back after being out nine games due to personal reasons; He scored just two points but was a jolt to the Heat as a whole.
Heat Head Coach Erik Spoelstra spoke postgame about how good it is for his team to have Lowry back in the lineup.
“It’s just awesome to have him back in our locker room and having his spirit,” Miami coach Erik Spoelstra said. “Everything is just great. I couldn’t help but to smile walking into shootaround this morning. Seeing him there is just special.”
Tyler Herro led the way for the Miami Heat and did so off the bench, as he has done this multiple times this season. Herro scored 24 points on 11-for-20 shooting from the field. Herro also grabbed five rebounds and dished out five assists. Jimmy Butler who scored 17 points, grabbed seven rebounds and dished out three assists in his own right had high praise postgame for Herro.
“He’s confident,” Butler said. “We all know that he can put the ball in the basket, but he also does a great job of getting everybody else involved. He’s getting better and better when it comes to making the right read in the pick-and-roll and the iso situation. If he keeps playing the way that he’s playing, he’s going to be key for us down the line.”
