The Miami Heat earned their eighth victory of the season in Salt Lake City, Utah on Saturday. The Heat defeated the Jazz 111-105. Heat Head Coach Erik Spoelstra is always happy to get in the win column. However, he is a perfectionist and the Heat have a certain “Heat Culture” that they look to uphold. Spoelstra expressed some displeasure about how the big lead the Heat had was cut down towards the end of the game.
“We just have to continue to get better in these situations,” Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said. “Defensively we were just really poor in those last six minutes, just trying to hold on. Three straight stops during those six minutes at any point — three straight — would have closed the game. But we just continued to allow them to score and get open air space.”
Tyler Herro played a great game once again. He is on an absolute tear this season. Herro started in place of Jimmy Butler who is out with an injured ankle. Herro scored 27 points on 10-of-23 shooting. He played a team-high 37 minutes. He also grabbed eight rebounds and dished out two assists.
Duncan Robinson is shooting the basketball much better after a slow start to the season. In Utah he caught fire. He scored 22 points on 8-of-14 shooting from the field. He caught fire knocking down 6-of-11 from the three-point stripe as well. When Duncan gets cooking he is extremely dangerous. Robinson also grabbed four rebounds and dished out four assists.
