The Miami Heat once again defeated the Boston Celtics in back-to-back games in Boston, winning 129-121 on Tuesday night.
Miami clinched a playoff berth with the win. They now move into a tie with the Atlanta Hawks for fifth place in the NBA’s Eastern Conference.
The Heat seems to be hitting their stride at the perfect time. They have won 10 out of their last 13 games and with three games to go, having positive momentum going into the Playoffs is vital. Coach Erik Spoelstra is happy with his team’s performance but he isn’t satisfied; he feels that his guys.
“It does mean something. We don’t want to act like it’s nothing,” Miami coach Erik Spoelstra said.
“It’s not everything we want.”
Shouldn’t be either.
Duncan Robinson scored 22 points on 6-of-10 shooting from the field. He also knocked down 5-of-9 from behind the three-point stripe. Robinson has been playing at an extremely high level and expressed his eagerness to be able to have another chance to play for all the marbles.
“To have a chance to play for everything is what everyone wants to do,” Robinson said. “It’s a good first step.”
Tyler Herro has been playing some excellent basketball lately. His confidence is at an all-time high. He is playing with no fear and stepping up to become a key part of the Miami Heat’s success. Herro scored 24 points on 10-of-15 shooting from the field in 35 minutes of play. He put these numbers up off of the bench. Herro shot 4-of-7 from behind the three-point line, adding 11 rebounds and three assists.
Herro is hitting his stride just in time for the Playoffs—He could be a DANGEROUS weapon for the Heat this postseason.
