Free agent center/forward Tyler Hansbrough has agreed to re-sign with the Sichuan Whales of the Chinese Basketball Association, as relayed by Asian basketball reporter Zhang Duo.
Hansbrough is 6-foot-9 and was selected by the Indiana Pacers with the No. 13 overall pick in 2009. He has also spent time with the Toronto Raptors and Charlotte Hornets, last playing in the NBA in 2016.
Hansborough, 34, has been in China since 2017 and has also played for the Zhejiang Golden Bulls. He carries NBA career averages of 6.7 points and 4.2 rebounds.
He was the first player to be named first-team All-ACC for four seasons, all of which were spent at North Carolina.
